Meteor Systems' growing gutters are made of top-quality strip steel and protected by multiple layers of coating. Depending on your situation, we can roll form growing gutters on site or deliver them from our factory in individual parts. With more than 35 different types, we offer a ready-made solution for every crop.

The growing gutters form the basis for any growing system. The combination of the crop, the span and the substrate holder determine the gutter shape and width you will need. Our growing gutters allow you to recirculate the drain water, which can significantly reduce the quantity of water and fertilisers you use. Our growing gutters also contribute to better hygiene, thus minimising the spread of diseases. What's more, the air circulates more freely around the growing gutter, creating a drier climate.

Growing gutters from Meteor Systems can be integrated into a greenhouse structure by suspending them from or placing them on suitable supports. Every growing system is unique. Ask our advisors about a growing system that meets your specific needs.

SUSPENDED SYSTEMS FOR GROWING GUTTERS
In consultation with you, we design a special suspension for every crop that best suits your situation. Then we extensively test it to check that it can carry the weight of the fully loaded growing gutter. Suspended systems for growing gutters are supplied in custom lengths. We offer each basic component in a range of versions. A suspension generally consists of a fastening to attach it to the trellis or tunnel tube, a steel cable, a grow tube hook and a suspension bracket.

POST BRACKETS FOR GROWING ON RACKS
Post brackets are easy to install and are designed for tunnel, greenhouse or outdoor use. An intermediate bracket can be inserted between the post brackets to support the truss support tape and/or atlas wire.

LIFTINGSYSTEM
Our lifting system allows you to increase your planting density and optimise the floor area of your greenhouse.

To fully stabilise our growing gutters, we use a gable system or V-suspension. The gable system is secured to the greenhouse column, is height-adjustable and supports the end of the gutter. The V-suspension is adjustable, it hangs from the penultimate trellis or tunnel tube and supports the overhanging part of the gutter.

END AND SIDE GABLE SYSTEM
The end gable system is secured to the greenhouse column and is height adjustable. In addition, besides supporting the growing gutters, it is also suitable for suspending a gable gutter and distribution and collection pipes.

V-SHAPED SUSPENSION AND SEMI V SUSPENSION
With a V-shaped or semi V suspension near the central aisle, an extra support point is created for the gutter if it protrudes more than 75 cm beyond the first suspension. With a V- or half V-suspension device on the end gable you can create a walkway in the greenhouse or even keep the wall free for other features.

The drain water is collected in drain channels in the gutter and in an end drain tray at the end of the gutter. Meteor Systems has a drain tray to fit every type of gutter. These trays are attached to the gutters with a watertight seal.

CENTRAL AND END DRAIN TRAYS
Collecting drain water reduces the risk of spreading diseases. The drain water is drained off via a closed (above or below ground) central pipe. Our central and end drain trays are made of a new type of white plastic with an improved rubber compound. This produces a sustainable system with an attractively clean, neat appearance.

Meteor Systems has designed a total concept for growing strawberry plants in trays on rails that keep the trays off the ground. This system has some major benefits: more plants per square metre, less disease pressure, air circulates under the plants, and lower fertiliser and water usage. It also offers a range of options for further automation.

The Meteor Systems strawberry pot has a volume of 3.5 litres and is designed for two plants. The unique feature of this pot is that the plants are planted horizontally in the two openings and are always facing outwards, thus saving a lot of work pulling the trusses through. Also, the plants are spaced further apart in the pot, allowing for better foliage distribution.

We offer a number of options to complete your growing system and adapt it to your crop.

END CAPS
End caps are made of white plastic or powder-coated galvanised steel. Sharp edges at the ends of the gutter are therefore covered over, protecting users against injury and preventing crop damage. End caps provide a neat finish.

IRRIGATION BRACKETS
Irrigation brackets are mounted under the gutter and provide it with extra rigidity. They can also be used to support one or more drip hoses or a CO₂ hose on the gutter.

PLASTIC IRRIGATION HOOKS
Our plastic irrigation hooks are simple to use for suspending the drip hose from the gutter, enabling you to quickly install or remove the drip hose as required. For each gutter, we have a matching plastic irrigation hook that can be clamped to the edge of the gutter. These irrigation hooks are available for every standard drip hose.

GROW TUBE HOOKS
We also supply grow hooks for installing one or more grow tubes under the gutter.

J-HOOKS
We supply J-hooks for securing pipes neatly to the gable system.

TRUSS AND LEAF SUPPORTS
Truss and leaf supports are often used in strawberry cultivation. Meteor Systems supplies various accessories to support the truss support tape and the atlas wire. Truss support tape prevents the flower trusses from kinking and atlas wire separates the foliage from the flower trusses.

TRUSS SUPPORT TAPE

Atlas wire is used to separate the foliage from the flower trusses.
