Thwan van Gennip – raspberries

My priority is reliability, which is why I opted for Meteor Systems.

Thwan van Gennip on Meteor Systems

I have been working with Meteor Systems for over 10 years now. They have designed and produced various systems for our company, including 10 hectares of greenhouse space for our strawberry production,

7 hectares for producing hanging cuttings, 15 hectares of racks under rain shelters for strawberry production, and 4.5 hectares of Mini Air tunnel for raspberry production.

I had heard from other growers that Meteor delivers good quality and that the materials they use last for decades. At our nursery we strive for the best quality products and plants, which is why we want top quality systems as well.

My regular contact at Meteor Systems is Erik van Nieuwenhuizen. We work together to find ways to optimise the crop even further. Erik is open to new developments and involves us in them as well. In short, I am very happy with both the Meteor product and our close working relationship.

New Mini-Air and Mini tunnel fruit covers for Reijnders family in Linkhout (Belgium)

The Reijnders family started growing tomatoes on a large scale in 1995. In 2010 they decided to embark on growing fruit as well, starting with kiwi berries. Unfortunately it turned out that this was not profitable, so they switched to strawberry cultivation instead. In 2013 the company stopped growing tomatoes to fully focus on soft fruit, in particular strawberries.
