Tomatoworld is a renowned information and education center that contributes to innovative growing solutions in a CEA environment in cooperation with several companies from the Dutch horticultural sector. For example, tomatoes are grown in a ''distance controlled driven greenhouse'' (DDAG) with the latest high-tech growing technologies, called Fieldlab. Among other , the collected data is used to optimize the crop health and production of tomatoes for professional horticulture worldwide.
Tomatoworld's Fieldlab is open to stakeholders from home and abroad. Divergent topics are investigated in practice and studied closely. From hygiene to the use of 5G, from data protocol to cyber security. Everything is tested on the cultivation systems of Meteor Systems
